FAQ

Q. wHAT ARE LASH EXTENSIONS?

A. Lash extensions are semi-permanent, synthetic, faux mink or silk fibers that are applied ONE BY ONE with specially formulated non-irritating adhesive to your own lashes without touching your skin to enhance your eye shape. this are not traditional false eyelashes, which you remove after each use, are applied directly to the skin and have pre-designed depth and layers that don't take your unique eye shape into account. Extensions, on the other hand, attach to the lashes themselves, so they grow out naturally and can be customized to create specific depth and elongation to your eye shape for the exact effect you crave. When extensions are done properly they will not cause damage to your natural lashes.

Q.Is there anything you should do before getting extensions?

A. the stronger your natural lashes are the better. If you already have healthy growth, extensions will hold better and the overall appearance of your set will look better, too. Vitamins for your hair, nails and skin are a good for maintaining optimal lash health, with or without a set of extensions. Lash extensions will enhance your natural lashes making them appear longer or fuller according to the selected technique

Q. What is the difference between classic, hybrid, volume?

A. All the techniques are done one by one which means one fake eyelash or fan will be on one natural lash. Classic will be a NATURAL effect that will enhance what you have without addition too much drama or volume to the lash line. Volume is an advance technique where the artist can VISUALLY create a fuller lash line with the creation of fans with thinner synthetic lashes. This effect will give you a full and longer effect without having to look so over done. Cant decide which one ? HYBRID will be the mixture of the two techniques to achieve a semi full, longer lash line. At Manuela Ramirez studio lash line health is our priority therefore we do not recommend super long extensions because it will affect the health of your own natural lashes.

Q. How much do they cost?

A. Prices vary depending on where you go and the level of experience of your lash stylist as well as with the technique you desire. At Manuela Ramirez Studio prices range anywhere from $165 to $265 a full set, $65 to $170 a touch up.

Q. Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?

A. NO, extensions alone will not cause damage to your natural lashes.Lashes can be damaged as a result of improper extension application or by the designer not selecting the correct type of extension based on the conditions of the natural lash. There are a few main factors that contribute to this problem if you apply lashes that are too heavy for the natural lash will ultimately end in premature shedding. Also if the client does not take care of the correctly like rubbing the eyes will also result in immediate breakage.

Q. Can you wear mascara them?

A.don't wear mascara while you have extensions, even though you technically can. Keep in mind that it is hard to remove and might cause the bonding on the extensions to break.

The shedding cycle will happen in tandem with your natural hair-growth cycle, which generally turns over around every 6 to 8 weeks. To maintain the full-lashed effect in the long term, refills are a great way to extend the life of your lashes and are recommended every 2 to 3 weeks.
